With its characterful design and original vintage interior with antique furniture. With oldest Viennese charm, for its opening in 1921, and to this day, this location is the favorite place for many locals and tourists. The coffeehouse welcomes all who walk through its doors with majestic mirrors of handmade woodwork frames and chandeliers, and walls of art in old vintage rustic painting styles, with the Empire Ceiling Designs. The walls and Bar is decorated with cuddling Warm candles lights and they offering unforgettable cozy relaxing atmosphere.
On their menu, you can find the typical Verlängerter and Melange, but also fancy liquor and rum-infused hot beverages, like the Orginal Viennese Schnitzel. Since 1921 these days, while it welcomes all kind of people, it’s a popular place amongst city. Before being renamed, Cafè Hegelgof is was originally called ‘Mery Bar’ due its location of Johannesgassse and Ring incidentally is a place for popular Viennese bars and clubs. From outside the Cafe Hegelhof, there’s no chance you can realise what lives inside this 19th-century building and one of the oldest Vienna Coffee House recognized as UNESCO Heritage.
